One set of hands
Eli Peter Layfield, owner operator. He estimates it, does the metal, sprays the paint and hands it back. No service writer in between.
Since 2011
Trade apprenticeship at a custom shop, then his own facility full time. Rust repair and fabrication is the main line, not a sideline.
$150 an hour, plus materials
Two hour minimum, and most jobs here start around $5,000. Restorations usually run 800 to 1000 hours, paint jobs 100 to 160. Every phase is written down before it starts.

What is the fastest way to get an estimate?

Do you charge for an estimate?
A phone call and a ballpark off photos doesn't cost anything. A proper inspection, where the vehicle goes up in the air and we open areas up, is shop time at $150 an hour and gets estimated like any other work.
How soon can you take something in?
Sooner than you think. Plenty of shops will tell you they are booked for a year. We estimate the job, and once you approve it a deposit books your intake date. There is no waiting list to get on, so call and you will get a straight answer about the actual schedule.
Can you help arrange getting it here?
Plenty of vehicles get trailered in from a few hours out. Tell us where it is and whether it rolls, and we'll point you the right way.
I am in the United States, can you help?
We're about twelve hours north of the border, so hauling a vehicle up here doesn't make sense for most people. Call anyway if you think it works for your project and we'll give you a straight answer.
